Freie Universität Berlin views the health of its employees as an important resource and is committed to occupational promotion of health through its FUndament Gesundheit program. Designing working conditions to be conducive to health and offering a wide range of measures to improve the working climate and motivation among employees are key features of the occupational health management efforts made by Freie Universität Berlin.

The goal of activities to promote health in the workplace is to maintain or improve the health of employees by strengthening health potential and mitigating health risks. This approach involves a holistic definition of health as more than just the absence of illness.

Various activities and projects help to ensure that all aspects and perspectives involved in activities to promote health in the workplace are taken into account and that effective measures can be taken. The “FUndament Gesundheit” steering committee is made up of various stakeholders and the leadership of Freie Universität Berlin. Its task is to plan and manage offerings and measures within the scope of activities to promote health in the workplace, linking together individual steps and thereby ensuring sustainable implementation.
