FUBiS

International Summer and Winter University (FUBiS)

Freie Universitaet Berlin International Summer and Winter University (FUBiS) is an intensive, academic program. At one of Germany's top universities, students can gain first insights into German culture and language.

Organization

Alongside German language courses at five different levels of proficiency, and subdivided into three time blocks (terms), FUBiS offers numerous courses in history, politics, German language and literature studies, architecture and art history. The subject classes focus on Berlin, Germany, and Europe. All courses except for the German language and literature courses are held in English. FUBiS classes make use of the various resources Berlin offers. Therefore study visits are an integral part of all courses. FUBiS is intended for first-year students as well as for graduates.

Credits

Through FUBiS students can earn internationally recognized credits that may be counted towards their degrees at their home institutions. Every year, these academic courses attract about 500 students from over 60 countries, making FUBiS  the largest multidisciplinary summer and winter university in Germany.
