With pleasure, we can announce that Prof. Kathryn Harrison, University of British Columbia will join us as a keynote speaker with a talk on: “The Comparative Politics of Carbon Taxes”

Kathryn Harrison is a Professor of Political Science at the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability and Senior Associate Dean, Faculty and Equity, in the Faculty of Arts at the University of British Columbia. She is author of the book “Passing the Buck: Federalism and Canadian Environmental Policy and co-author of Risk, Science, and Politics” and has edited or co-edited several other volumes.

With her expertise in comparative public policy focusing on climate change, Prof. Harrisons talk will provide important insights for our discussion of impactful drivers for sustainable development.
