Tasks
The core task of the Unit for Sustainability and Energy Management is the systematic management of all sustainability activities at Freie Universität Berlin.
Sustainability management is a classic cross-sectional task. The Unit’s main task is to integrate sustainability into decision processes and operational procedures at all levels of the university.
Our work follows a Whole Institution Approach, aimed at systematically combining research, teaching, knowledge transfer, and campus management. Concretely, this means improving the visibility and integration of the sustainability activities in these four areas. Participation from all areas and levels of the university is very important to us. We have created numerous opportunities for participation and coordinate them.
