Climate FUture Weeks: Together for a Sustainable Future
The "Climate FUture Weeks" Living Lab at Freie Universität Berlin is an evolution of the FUturist project "FU Climate Challenge" from 2022. It aims to promote climate-friendly behaviors and structures for climate protection at the university. Through participatory approaches, students, staff, and researchers are brought together to actively contribute to climate protection and identify structural levers to make climate-friendly behavior the standard for all members of the university.
During the Climate FUture Weeks, the focus is on the collaborative development of ideas for sustainable structures at Freie Universität Berlin and potential initiatives. In formats such as roundtables and focus groups, participants develop practical approaches to promote sustainable behaviors in areas like nutrition, mobility, and consumption.
The planned Living Lab project is divided into the following three phases, with more detailed information provided below:
- Preparation of the Climate FUture Weeks: February to May 2025
- Implementation of the Climate FUture Weeks: June to July 2025
- Data evaluation and preparation of the results: July to November 2025
