The Margherita von Brentano Center is dedicated to interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research at Freie Universität Berlin in the field of gender studies. The center focuses on topics such as transnational, transregional, and transcultural gender relations, the body, sexualities, and biopolitics as well as feminist theories and theories of cultural diversity. Its central goal is to use and expand the interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary, science-critical, and reflexive potential of gender studies.
