At the Department of Law, a working group is devoted to human rights, the legal aspects of safe and sustainable cities of the future, and the role of cities in international law.

In the project CliWaC, another research group led by Prof. Dr. Christian Calliess is dedicated to water-related risks in the context of climate change in Berlin-Brandenburg. The focus is on possible mitigation and adaptation measures.
