Dr. Marita Roth
Dr. Roth studied Germanic Philology (Germanistik), Law, Social Sciences, and History in Würzburg (Germany), Utrecht (The Netherlands), Austin (Texas, USA), and Berlin. In the year 2000, she worked at the Headquarters of the United Nations in New York. Thereafter, until 2003, she taught German philology at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and Freie Universität Berlin. In 2003 she completed her doctorate in the field of Sociolinguistics with a dissertation on an eastern-western German theme. Since then she has been teaching at Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and gave lectures at Tinjin University/China, the University of Tirana, Albania, and the University of California at Davis.
