The Ernst Reuter Prizes for the best doctoral theses of the year at Freie Universität Berlin will be awarded at 3 p.m. on December 1 as part of the major festive event "75 Years of Freie Universität Berlin". The honorees are physician Dr. Lisa Ehlers for her dissertation "Surface Expression of AMP Deaminase 2 on Human Immune Cells and its Role in Extracellular Purine Metabolism," political scientist Timon Forster, Ph.D., for his work "Deliberation in the Shadow of Delegation: Evidence from IMF Decision-Making," cultural scientist Hanna Zoe Trauer for her work "The Knowledge of Imagination. Transfer of imagination in the Hebrew encyclopaedias of the 13th century" and the physicist Dr. Chiara Pasquini for her dissertation "The mechanism of the water oxidation reaction catalyzed by an amorphous Co-based catalyst is revealed using operando Raman and time-resolved X-ray absorption spectroscopy".
