Will the information/measures catalog for IT problems have a search function? If so, will this be better than other search functions such as in UniKat, where you only get search results if you enter a very specific search term?

The search function on the ITSM portal “Servity” is very comprehensive. Full-text, tagging, labeling, categorization, etc. are all possible.

How will the knowledge base content be maintained and updated?

Since last year we have had an appointed knowledge base manager at FUB-IT who is assigned to developing, maintaining, and integrating practical step-by-step IT guides as well as categorizing and tagging such materials.

If I am unable to get an answer to a more complex question via the automatically linked IT support article, is there a way for me to get in touch directly with an IT support team member?

Yes, there is. If you are unable to solve the problem with the help of the step-by-step instructions and practical guides then you will be able to submit an error message in the form of a ticket.
