Das Dahlem Humanities Center congratulates Emine Sevgi Özdamar on receiving the Bertolt-Brecht-Prize 2026!

The Berlin-based writer, theatre director, and actress Emine Sevgi Özdamar receives the prestigious Bertolt-Brecht-Prize 2026 of the city of Augsburg. The award ceremony will be held in Augsburg on February 10, 2026. Emine Sevgi Özdamar was the speaker of the 2023 Siegfried Unseld Lecture that the Dahlem Humanities Center and Suhrkamp organize bi-annually. Her talk was entitled "Die Zeit anhalten" and can be watched in our video library.
