On July 4, 2018, Sofia Donoso (Associate Researcher at Political and Social Conflicts at Center for Social Conflict and Cohesion Studies (COES) and Assistant Professor of Society and Health Research Center at Universidad Mayor) held a guest lecture at the Institute for Latin American Studies. The presentation was titled “Social movements in Chile: Political learning, scaling up, and institutionalization of protests”.

On January 20, 2016, Prof. Omotade Akin Aina (Executive Director of Partnership for African Social & Governance Research; Nairobi, Kenya) held a guest lecture at the Henry Ford Building of the Freie Universität Berlin. The presentation was titled 'Africa and the World in the era of the Post-2015 Development Agenda'.
