Veterinary Medicine, Up Close and Personal
Freie Universität Berlin’s Department of Veterinary Medicine Open House on May 25
№ 145/2019 from May 23, 2019
This year once again, the Department of Veterinary Medicine at Freie Universität Berlin will open its doors to the public. Students, faculty, and staff from the department will give glimpses into the work of veterinarians from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on May 25. Visitors of all ages are invited to attend the event at the Düppel Campus in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district – whether they are looking for more contact with animals in the city or just want to learn more about their furry and feathered neighbors. Admission to the open house is free.
Visitors are also welcome to bring their favorite toy animals and provide medical treatment for them at the stuffed animal hospital. Budding veterinarians can get their “animal diploma” at the kids’ rally or learn interesting facts about animals in the petting zoo. Many other activities await visitors young and old, including blowgun target practice and sheep droppings roulette. Food and drinks will be available.
