From June 22 to 26, 2026, the International Staff Training Week will take place for the 14th time on the campus of Freie Universität Berlin, with around 250 participants from its global partner institutions expected to attend. This year, a small number of FU employees are also invited to apply. The aim is to enable colleagues who would otherwise be unable to travel, or only under difficult conditions, to participate in an International Staff Training Week on site and thus gain work experience and exchange expertise in an international environment.
During the FUB International Staff Training Week, various departments at the FU will host eleven interactive programs aimed at exchanging expertise, developing skills, peer learning, and networking.

FU employees can apply for the following ten programs (between 2 and 5 places are available for FU employees per track).

1) More Than Memories: How Alumni Engagement Advances the Whole Institution

2) Preparing Students for the Future: Current Challenges and Future Directions in University Career Counseling

3) Gender and Diversity in Higher Education – Insights from the Margherita von Brentano Center

4) Global Liaison Officers Connect: Overcome Challenges, Exchange Ideas, and Discuss Regional Realities

5) Open Science in Libraries: Enabling Access, Empowering Knowledge
