For the first time, the Cairo and Eastern Europe Liaison Offices of Freie Universität Berlin jointly participated in a student fair in Istanbul. Over three days - two on the European and one on the Asian side of the city - they provided information about study and research opportunities at Freie Universität Berlin and answered questions from interested students and young academics.

Turkish students have traditionally shown great interest in Freie Universität Berlin. Programs in the social sciences, humanities and natural sciences are particularly popular. Many participants also inquired about doctoral opportunities and funding programs for international researchers.

The joint presence at the fair offered a valuable opportunity to present Freie Universität Berlin as an attractive study and research destination and to intensify the exchange with interested students on site.
