On 6 May 2025 the annual departure meeting took place to bid farewell to the outgoing students of the direct exchange programme, organized by the Student Mobility Office. At this event, students who will soon begin a stay abroad had the opportunity to get to know exchange students who are currently studying at FUB, to network with each other and to say an official farewell.

A total of almost 300 students took part in the two-hour event. In five different regional rooms (Latin America, North America, Middle East, Asia, Australia / United Kingdom), the outgoing students received important information on topics and organization during short presentations and were able to ask questions. Afterwards, both incoming and outgoing students came into contact with each other in a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere. The aim of the departure meeting is to promote exchange between the two groups and thus prepare the outgoing students for their stay abroad in the best possible way. The participants benefited greatly from being able to share their experiences shortly before their departure and to give each other personal tips.
