What is it about?

At the end of May 2025, thirteen students from FU Berlin met with students from Uniwersytet Jagielloński w Krakowie as part of an exchange that was supported by Una Europa. Following on from this, eight students from JU Kraków visited Freie Universität from 15-17 September. The visit was centred around workshops in which the topics from May were further discussed and explored in greater depth. The exchange was organised by students of FU Berlin and JU Kraków, in particular their Una Europa Student Board members: Luise Richert, Florian Bonkowski, Valeria Quintana Solis, and Pola Kramarzyk.

You should know this:

The exchange was structured through workshops, exploring the campus and joint network activities which revolved around the following discussion topics: How can Una Europa facilitate active engagement of students at their local campus and how can meaningful exchange between students be supported on the level of the alliance? What innovative developments can strengthen sustainability of the campus and the university and how can students actively participate in this?

A tour by the initiative “Blooming Campus” with Rebecca Rongstock provided insightful perspectives into matters of biodiversity on Freie Universität’s campus and offered students to try out hands-on knowledge in a practical setting.

The student exchange was realised with the support of colleagues and students from JU Kraków together with the Una Europa Team of Freie Universität Berlin and our local co-funding to Una Europa from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

This is how it continues:

The format of bilateral student exchanges within the Una Europa alliance will be evaluated based on the two visits this year and will be developed further for the upcoming year.
