On June 26, 2024, a networking event of the Berlin University Alliance will take place at the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin. This event is organized by Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The aim is to increase the visibility of the collaborations between the Berlin universities and their partner institutions in Brazil and to create new networking opportunities for the academic community in Berlin.

The participating universities have close ties with Brazil and actively support the German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) São Paulo. Freie Universität has been operating a liaison office in Brazil since 2010, which is located in the DWIH. Technische Universität has been an associated supporter of the DWIH since 2018, while Humboldt-Universität is associated since 2022.
