Janna Einöder, Longyearbyen (Spitsbergen, Norway)

My name is Janna. I’m 22 years old and am in my fourth semester studying biology at Freie Universität. For my stay abroad, I chose what is probably one of the most unusual spots: the Arctic! Here in Longyearbyen, 78°N, I will spend a semester studying Arctic biology. I’ve already been here for one month, and I can only say one thing: Every day brings a new adventure. Far from the big city and the infinite range of possibilities, life here is certainly different – and then some. So things are always exciting!
