Code of Conduct for the FUB International Staff Training Week
At Freie Universität Berlin, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative environment. Our International Staff Training Week brings together professionals from all over the world, and we encourage participants to engage in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding.
Given the diverse backgrounds of our participants, including those from regions experiencing conflict, we want to emphasize the following guiding principles:
- Respect for Diversity: We welcome participants from all nations, ethnicities, religions, beliefs, and social backgrounds. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
- Openness to Dialogue: We believe in the power of open communication and dialogue. We expect all participants to engage in discussions with an open mind, listen to diverse perspectives, and work together to create a positive experience for all.
- Zero Tolerance for Discrimination: We have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, religion, or social background. Our university values the safety and well-being of every participant, and we are dedicated to maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Commitment to Professionalism: All participants are expected to engage constructively and professionally, contributing to the success of the program and collaborating with peers from across the globe. We ask that everyone fully participate in activities and group work throughout the week, approaching all interactions with respect, professionalism, and a focus on mutual understanding and collaborative learning.
We understand that current global conflicts may cause concerns, especially for participants from conflict regions. Please rest assured that the security and well-being of all participants are our top priorities. If you have any concerns regarding your safety or participation, please feel free to reach out to us. We are committed to respecting your privacy and ensuring that your needs are met.
