Collaborative Research Centres (SFB)
Collaborative Research Centres (SFBs) are temporary (lasting up to twelve years) university research centers in which scientists and researchers work together within a cross-disciplinary research program. Projects from several universities and other institutions can be included.
Freie Universitaet Berlin hosts 11 SFBs and participates in 15 others. In addition, Freie Universitaet is involved in 5 SFBs through Charité-University Medicine, Berlin.
