Online Databases

These online databases provide information on academic and scientific topics and projects, contact persons, publications, and statistics at Freie Universität Berlin:

Projects and activities: externally funded and non-externally funded research

The research database of Freie Universität Berlin encompasses two areas.

The first area includes past and current externally funded projects. The second includes research activities outside of external funding, which are listed in the “profile database” (access via password only).

The profile database gives researchers at Freie Universität Berlin an opportunity to present their own research profile and research and publication activities in detail (password-protected intranet access via Web interface). The database includes both research outside of external funding and the presentation of other factors, such as distinctions and awards, academic offices, memberships, activities within committees, visiting stays, and visiting lecturer positions as well as publications.

Detailed information regarding the research database with all sub-applications is available from this website.

The statistics database (intranet) provides information on statistical data from the fields of publications, the budget, international exchange, external funding, research and junior scholars and scientists, studying/teaching and personnel. Access is internal only and is password-protected. The prepared statistical data are based on various things, including the research database and publication database.

The university bibliography lists publications by scholars and scientists at Freie Universität. Publications are listed via self-entry by all persons actively employed at Freie Universität Berlin.

The Experts for Media service is offered free of charge by the Office of News and Public Affairs of Freie Universität. It provides contact information for academic and scientific experts at Freie Universität on specific topics and subjects of current interest in society and the media.
