The Berlin University Alliance provides up to €10,000 in material funding for supplementary work packages for researchers at its four member institutions.

As of now, researchers of the Berlin University Alliance can once again apply for funding in the TD-Lab Funding Program. Funding will be provided for 15 supplementary, participatory or transdisciplinary projects with up to €10,000 in material costs over a period of six months.
The application deadline is September 30, 2025. All information about the call for applications can be found on this website.
The goal of the TD-Lab – Laboratory for Transdisciplinary Research of the Berlin University Alliance is to strengthen participatory and transdisciplinary research in the alliance, to support professionalization and to open up spaces of opportunity to make research more effective for society. The TD-Lab Funding Program supports excellent participatory or transdisciplinary work packages that contribute to the following goals:
- method-based knowledge exchange: strengthening method-based knowledge exchange and joint learning between science and practice
- scientific research interest: generating new impulses for transformation-oriented knowledge production to increase the societal benefit of research
- project development: initiating or deepening networks between science and practice to initiate joint participatory and/or transdisciplinary research projec
Until the end of the call period, three online information events will be held in English.

- Friday, August 20, 2025, 10-11 a.m., registration
- Monday, September 15, 2025, 12-1 p.m., registration
