This seminar explores the role of non-verbal social cues, such as eye gaze and facial expressions, in shaping social interactions. It examines how these cues impact the dynamics of interaction among individuals and how they are perceived and interpreted within social contexts. The course will cover the interplay between behavioral, cognitive, and individual factors and their overall influence on non-verbal communication. Additionally, the seminar introduces the use of electroencephalogram (EEG) technology as a significant tool in Social Neuroscience research. This technology allows for the study of the brain's role in social interactions. Students will have the opportunity to participate in practical exercises or demonstrations using EEG, providing them with hands-on experience in applying neuroscientific methods to understand how non-verbal cues affect social dynamics.
