”Writing" History of North Korea

The course aims to gain an understanding of North Korea's history and critically analyze their logic by examinin g primary documents. It begins by introducing the concept of archiving work, including where to find and how t o read various types of primary documents such as newspapers, academic journals, monographs, novels, memoi rs, and works of leaders. After reading 3-5 books and some papers to familiarize with North Korean history rese arch methods, participants will then analyze primary documents related to their chosen research topics. The cou rse is designed to facilitate research on North Korea with a balanced perspective. close
