      First half of the semester on two Saturdays (full day each)          
  Additional information / Pre-requisites
      Attendance on both days is required for successful participation. Missing one half-day can be compensated when in advance agreed with the course leader.          
  Comments
        In this course, an introduction to the methodology of systematic risk analysis in the context of consumer protection and animal disease control will be provided. Examples will be used to demonstrate the principles of risk assessment, (quantification), development of simple risk pathways/models, data collection, incorporation of uncertainty and variability, data simulation and interpretation of results. Students will be provided with the tools to develop and run own risk assessment models using commercial or open-source software packages.        close
