Final clinical rotation - Equine
Lischer, Gehlen, Ehrle,Stöckle und Mitarbeitende der Klinik
Comments
Students in their 9th and 10th semesters each participate in clinical rotations for eight weeks. The first week is an introductory week during which students receive structured training through various courses. Afterwards, they are assigned in two-week blocks to Internal Medicine, Surgery/Orthopedics, and Emergency/Anesthesia, including night and weekend duties. Clinic patients are assigned to the students, who examine them and present them during daily rounds.
In the mornings, the focus is primarily on assisting with specialized examinations and treatments in the clinic, while in the afternoons, seminars, journal clubs, and student case presentations take place. During the rotation, students are required to complete two case presentations or medical reports, as well as two weeks of in-person duty or on-call availability during nights and weekends. close
