Information for students
This seminar provides a first look into radicalization research and deradicalization practice, with a focus on digital radicalization. Drawing from the different understandings of radicalization, we will discuss how the theoretical psychological underpinnings of the topic have led to the practitioners’ approach and how traditional theories may be implemented for combating extremism in digital environments. Overall, students will gain an understanding of (digital) radicalization from macro, meso and micro perspectives with the help of theory, life examples and insights from expert guests.
