How does childhood trauma shape the way children learn, grow, and form relationships? And how can families, teachers, and communities support resilience and healing?
This course explores trauma’s impact on the developing brain, social-emotional growth, and learning, drawing on psychological, neurobiological, and cultural perspectives. With global case examples and trauma-informed practices, students will connect theory, research, and lived experience to understand how children can be supported across diverse contexts.
