Comments

The European Union is an important actor when it comes to law-making. While this often appears to be very abstract, it does impact our lifes as citizens very much. Therefore, this seminar will offer students the opportunity to investigate the operation of the European Union in two ways: First, by discussing certain theoretical frameworks, including institutional, feminist and sociological approaches, and second, by learning and applying several qualitative research methods, such as interviewing and text or content analysis. At the end of the seminar, students will have fostered their backgrounds on theoretical perspectives and will have learned to critically analyse the concepts of Europeanisation, integration and multi-level governance, their political results and implications. close
