Comments

The lectures will provide an Introduction to Statistical Data Analysis using the Software R. The topics of the lecture are:
  • Getting Started with R, data types, data management and data visualization
  • Exploratory data analysis and statistical hypothesis tests
  • Simple linear models including regression and ANOVA
  • Linear models with several explanatory variables
  • Generalized linear models for binary, proportion, and count data

After the course, the students are able to summarize and visualize data with R. They can address biological research questions using linear and generalized linear models and interpret and reflect the results of statistical analysis in a scientifically appropriate way.
