Qualification goals: Students will have advanced knowledge of the grammatical structures and the diachronic and dialectal forms of Sumerian and the diachronic and regional forms of cuneiform writing. They will be able to define cuneiform texts on the topics of ‘society, institutions, structures’ in the Sumerian language and work on them independently from a historical and cultural studies perspective.
Contents: Students will gain an overview of the Sumerian-language cuneiform tradition on the topics of ‘society, institutions, structures’ with a special focus on formal, diachronic and dialectal varieties of Sumerian. close
