Qualification goals: The students have advanced knowledge of the grammatical structures and the diachronic and dialectal forms of Akkadian and the diachronic and regional forms of cuneiform writing. They will be able to define cuneiform textual testimonies on the topics of ‘knowledge, thought, ideas’ in Akkadian and work on them independently from a historical and cultural studies perspective.
Contents: Students will gain an overview of the Akkadian-language cuneiform tradition on the topics of ‘knowledge, thought, ideas’ with a special focus on formal, diachronic and dialectal varieties of Akkadian. close
