The ongoing digitalization and further development of artificial intelligence promise to change almost all areas of life. Digitalization is also making its way into the training and practice of veterinarians. This development raises questions about which tasks will artificial intelligence take on in the near future? What is artificial intelligence (AI) and what are neural networks and machine learning? Why are we experiencing such great interest in digitalization and AI right now? In order to take this momentous development into account, the elective course 'Digital Veterinary Medicine' was designed. It is planned as a series of lectures by experts on various aspects of digitalization combined with interactive exercises on the computer. It will show what opportunities digitalization has to offer for training and practice. It will be offered to apply modern methods of data processing and machine learning interactively. close
