Learning Objectives and Course Content: Blood-sucking arthropods can transmit a wide variety of pathogens. This elective course covers general entomology, focusing on hematophagous arthropods of veterinary significance in the tropics and subtropics. Practical exercises include, among other topics, the identification of various arthropods and an introduction to monitoring and control programs. close
