Clinical Demonstration I - Small animals, small mammals, birds, reptiles

Information for students
Participants must provide their own protective clothing. Pen, scissors, reflex hammer and stethoscope must be brought along.
Additional information / Pre-requisites
The student must prepare at least 1 small animal case (dog, cat, small mammal, bird, reptile) in the 6th or 7th semester (maximum of two students take on one case), i.e. examining a patient and prepare a written report on the case. The report must be submitted no later than four weeks after the patient has been assigned. close
Comments
Presentation and interactive discussion of patients (dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, reptiles) with internal, dermatological, oncological, neurological, surgical and ophthalmological diseases; problem-oriented case work-up; preparation of problem-oriented case reports.
Using a variety of clinical cases, the student should learn problem-oriented case approach including taking a history and clinical examination (medical history and clinical examination, problem list, differential diagnoses, diagnostic plan, evaluation of findings, treatment plan, prognostic assessment)
