Elena Bernal Rey
Comments
A Treatise of Human Nature is one of the major works by the Scottish philosopher David Hume, and also considered one of the most important works in the history of philosophy. In this seminar, we will study this book in it‘s multiple philosophical dimensions: as a statement of empiricism and naturalism on the epistemic side, but also of sentimentalism on the moral dimension. We will study Hume‘s philosophy but also it‘s impact on contemporary philosophy and it‘s relevance for fields such as Philosophy of Science, Cognitive Science and Moral Psychology.
