WiSe 24/25: MÜ-Constr.Difference:Liter.+Cult.Hist.: Theories of the Other
Stephan Laqué
Comments
Culture in general and literature more specifically thrive on tension and complication. One way in which these dynamics are unleashed is by non-conformity between characters and the norms of their surroundings. The intricate ways in which non-conforming others and the conventions from which they diverge are mutually constructed have been the object of exploration in philosophy, psychology and sociology. This seminar will explore key thinkers and texts from this field and the ways in which they pertain to literature. close
