Information for students
This course is designed for Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral candidates in Chemistry who wish to improve their writing skills in English and complete, as a final project, either a “Forschungsbericht” or a part of a doctoral thesis (depending on the needs of the student). Course component 21433a will be a seminar-style course in presence, meeting 2 hours per week, and in order to receive credit for the course students must attend at least 80% of the time allotted for 21433a (56 hours including seminar in person and one hour of each preparation before class and homework after class). Course component 21433b will be an opportunity for students to give and receive feedback on what they have written towards their final project (19 hours total allotted for final project writing). To receive credit students must also be present for 80% of the time for this component. Completing the final written project is also necessary to receive credit for the course. No exam will be held. A grade is also not given, rather complete/not complete. A certificate of participation will be given to those with a “complete” status. close
