This project will investigate the effects of the phenomenon of post truth - the devaluation of truth and facts in favor of emotions - on cinematic poetics. The aim is to pursue this using as wide a range of linguistic and cultural spaces as possible. As preparation, we want to research the media and political preconditions for post-truth but the center of the project is the analysis of poetics of audiovisual media and the reconstruction of their affective addressing of viewers. The result of the analysis will be presented in the form of a video-essay.
The research group is especially interesting for students of film studies, media and communication studies, cultural studies and philologies. Except for shorter introduction and final session, we will meet in person on the following dates from 12-4pm: 19.10.22, 26.10.22, 09.11.22, 30.11.22, 04.01.23, 01.02.23, 15.02.23.
