Comments
In the virology practical course, students learn the most common methods of virus diagnostics. These include direct and indirect detection methods such as ELISA, HA test, HA inhibition test, plaque test, and quantitative (real-time) PCR. After an introduction to virus diagnostics, participants carry out these experiments themselves in small groups of 6-8 students under the guidance of a tutor and discuss their results. Important topics such as sample preparation and contamination prevention are also addressed. close
