Qualifikationsziele: Die Studentinnen und Studenten beherrschen die Grundlagen der Klima- und Hydrogeographie, insbesondere die Fachterminologie und können sie im wissenschaftlichen Diskurs anwenden. Sie können globale Zusammenhänge des Klimasystems inklusive der Wechselwirkung mit den Ozeanen, der Allgemeinen Zirkulation der Atmosphäre und Elemente des Wasserkreislaufs beschreiben Inhalte: Es werden die Grundlagen der Klima- und Hydrogeographie dargestellt. Dazu zählen unter anderem die Grundlagen des Klimasystems, Strahlungs- und Wärmehaushalt, Allgemeine Zirkulation der Atmosphäre, Klimaklassifikationen, Rolle der Ozeane im Klimasystem, Elemente des Wasserkreislaufs und deren raumzeitliche Ausprägung und messtechnische Erfassung sowie Wasserbilanz und Wasserhaushalt auf unterschiedlichen Maßstabsebenen. Die Inhalte werden selbstständig oder in der Gruppe anhand von Übungsaufgaben bearbeitet und vertieft.
