Alice Chauchat will present her current research by contextualizing score writing through multiple frameworks: as a form of documentation, as a generative prompt, and as a means of disseminating dance practice. This inquiry emerges from her ongoing project togethering and focuses on improvisational scores oriented toward group movement, grounded in the act of collective listening within public space. The work poses critical questions about group formation and relationality: How might practices of shared listening give rise to a group that is both situated and non-identitarian? What forms of spatial and social awareness emerge when attention is oriented toward what others perceive—particularly that which escapes individual perception? In cultivating such attentiveness, how can we sustain a shared space that affirms multiplicity, responsiveness, and a collective sensitivity? close
