The international and national legal frameworks underlying the containment of epidemics are presented. Furthermore, the National Pandemic Plan is explained, as well as its implementation during the acute COVID-19 pandemic (Public Health Emergency of International Concern; PHEIC), along with the scientific foundations used to assess the severity of the pandemic. The purpose of the course is to enable students to engage in well-founded discussions about possible lessons to be learned from COVID-19 pandemic management. close
