Qualification goals:

Students will have basic knowledge of the grammar and lexis of an ancient Near Eastern language of secondary tradition (Elamite) as well as relevant script variants. They will be able to analyze simple texts in terms of language and content.
They will be familiar with the typological and structural characteristics of an Ancient Near Eastern language of secondary tradition or small corpus language, the specific functioning of its writing system, the basic types of sources, the transmission situation and research history of the tradition.
They have basic subject-related philological and linguistic methodological skills.


Contents:

Students acquire basic linguistic knowledge of an Ancient Near Eastern language of secondary tradition or a small corpus language (Elamite). They receive an introduction to the corresponding script and language and the development of various simple text types
