In this course, we will study this reciprocal relationship. How do armed and political conflicts transform media systems in different countries? How does the media affect conflicts in the public sphere? What are the main communication strategies utilized by different political actors in conflicts? How shall media cover conflicts to foster peace? At the end of the course, students will acquire an overview of the various patterns of interaction between media and conflict in different countries and be able to reflect on these patterns in a term paper. close
