Contemporary Exhibitions in Berlin

This course is limited to a group of max. 20 MA students in art history, who already have background knowledge of modern and contemporary art. The course will consist of gallery and museum visits within Berlin during which we will take stock of current developments and debates in the contemporary art world. The students will be directly involved in selecting exhibitions, artists, critics and curators to visit and meet. Student presentations will take place during our “Rundgang” in the city. Students should also be aware that the organizational schedule may need to be flexible due to our off-campus trips. The seminar hours will be blocked – three hours per session every other week. Course languages: German and English. The course involves several excursions within Berlin. close
