The German language training at the ZDS Peking, especially the TestDaF training, is supported by visiting students from Freie Universität and Humboldt-Universität. Usually they spend one semester at Peking University studying and at the same time teaching at the ZDS. Typically they are students from the Berlin universities' master's degree programs "German as Foreign Language," so they are perfectly prepared for their function at the ZDS. Up to now some twenty German students have stayed at Peking University.

Simon Hodgson and Willi Maschkewitz from Freie Universität Berlin spent the winter semester 2016/17 and 2017/18 at the ZDS. They wrote short reports about it which can be read (in German) here (Simon Hodgson) and here (Willi Maschkewitz).
