International Women's Day has been celebrated annually on March 8 for more than 100 years. The day draws attention to women's rights and gender equality.
To this end, the EU Delegation of the Council of Europe and Amicale Femmes are hosting an online conference entitled "Ceilings, Gaps and Walls. Overcoming Challenges and Achieving Gender Equality in the 21st Century". The six female speakers will reflect on gender equality policy making, current challenges and opportunities, and their personal experiences in dealing with issues such as the gender pay gap.
