How and why do strategic organizational path dependencies emerge? How can established technology paths be re-broken? How can a new path be created – in the field of alternative energies, for instance?
These are just some of the many research questions that the students of this Research Training Group aim to answer in their dissertations. The doctoral students come from different disciplinary backgrounds: business studies, economics, political science, sociology, psychology, law, computer science, and engineering. With this committed interdisciplinary orientation, including on the part of the professors teaching in the program, the Training Group, which is financed by the DFG, is also becoming established as a research center.
